With passionate interests in music, science, and the arts, Dr. Patrick Im studied science on a music scholarship. His attention to the finer artistic details is directly reflected in his work.
Dr. Patrick Im received his doctorate in dentistry from the prestigious Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1995. After a year of associating with Dr. Michael Miller, then president of the California Dental Association, Dr. Im moved to Dalton, GA to raise his family in a rural and quieter setting.

Dr. Im founded his practice, Beautiful Smiles By Design in 1996 and has developed a reputation for ‘quality dental care’. Beautiful Smiles By Design is a multi-disciplinary general dental practice focusing on creating healthy, functional, but highly aesthetic smiles using the latest in technology and refined materials. Dr. Im has trained extensively at the world-renowned Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. In addition, Dr. Patrick Im stays on the cutting edge of knowledge by taking hundreds of hours of continuing education focusing on the Neuromuscular, Cosmetic, and the latest in scientific medical/dental research for the benefit of his patients.
While serving as the Whitfield County Dental Study Club President in 2002-2003, he founded the Whitfield County Free Dental Clinic for those that could not afford dental care.
Dr. Im is an enthusiastic mentor and advisor of young people interested in and studying to become future dentists and hygienists. He has been a sponsor for the Pre-Dental Study Club at Southern Adventist University for the last 10 years.
Dr. Patrick Im is married to the love of his life, Christina, and together they raise an energetic threesome of Christian (13), Daniel (10), and Avana (7). Dr. Im is an accomplished musician playing the clarinet, violin, and saxophone. His pursuit for excellence translates into personal health and fitness goals as he regularly trains for and places in local triathlon events.

Dr. Im is a graduate of LVI having completed over 300 hours of Advanced Dental studies in Neuromuscular and Cosmetic dentistry, is certified in advanced CEREC (CAD/CAM) dentistry, advanced ZOOM! Whitening, Laser dentistry, Cosmetic Dentures, Simplify, Functional Jaw Orthopedics, Neuromuscular orthodontics, Neuromuscular orthotics, athletic mouthguards, and gentle non-surgical Periodontal treatment.
Dr. Im is triple board certified having completed the following boards:

- Southeast Regional Board
